For textile designer and interior stylist Anna B. Albury (@hello_anna_b), maximalism is more than a look—it’s a lifestyle. The New York-based creator has been using Pinterest since its early days to save inspiration and share photos of the bold homes that she designs for herself and her clients. So when she saw an opportunity to have her content featured by the platform, she leapt at the chance.
Anna knew that her maximalist style, which already resonated with Pinterest’s home décor audience, aligned perfectly with some of the design-related Pinterest Predicts trends for 2025. She hoped that by curating her content and having it featured on Pinterest, she could increase awareness of her content and drive engagement on Pinterest.
Anna created a ‘Maximalist Home Decor’ board filled with original Pins that showcased her unique interior design style. Her style naturally aligned with Pinterest Predicts trends such as Mix & Maximalist and Primary Play, and her Pin titles leaned into relevant descriptive terms such as ‘cobalt blue French door’ and ‘colourful mix-and-match tablescape’. She also made sure to include a board title and keyword-rich description to help give additional context to both the board and the Pins within.
Anna’s board was editorially highlighted on Pinterest in January 2025, and was featured at the top of the search page under the ‘Explore featured boards’ section. To share the good news, Anna also used Pinterest’s board-sharing feature to automatically transform her board into a custom montage, which she included in a video announcing her featured board to her followers on Instagram.
Having her board selected for a feature helped to get more eyes—and interactions—on Anna’s content. In the month that her board was featured, she received 4,700% more impressions and nearly 3,000% more engagements than the prior month.
