Like many entrepreneurs, Vivien Schoessler (@vivienschoessler) likes to put her own spin on things, and her approach to digital products is no exception. Based in Germany, Vivien set out to grow a stronger digital business, without the typical pressure to post constantly or chase the next algorithm shift. While she saw her peers chasing viral moments and fleeting trends across multiple platforms, she knew there had to be a simpler way.
On Pinterest, Vivien found the opportunity she’d been looking for: a place where her ideas could last. So she went all-in, aiming for long-term visibility, steady business growth and an audience who comes ready to act, with Pinterest as the centerpiece of her strategy.1

Vivien wanted to build and maintain a thriving business, driving revenue without burning out on constant posting or rapidly shifting strategies. She knew that Pinterest works differently, and that Pinterest trends last nearly twice as long as trends elsewhere on the internet.2 She hoped that by doubling down on Pinterest as her only growth platform, and playing to its strengths, she could generate traffic to her business, build her audience and ultimately help grow her earnings.
Vivien built her Pinterest strategy around the idea that content should last. She developed an always-on plan, leading with evergreen topics, treating each Pin as a long-term digital asset with the potential to keep reaching people long after it was posted. Instead of constantly starting from scratch, she continually refreshed and optimized her most effective Pins, evolving her portfolio as her audience grew.
Knowing that many people use Pinterest to plan for the future, Vivien also worked to reach audiences ahead of milestone moments. She leaned into Pinterest’s strengths as a visual search engine, reviewing trends and aligning her content to what her audience was actively looking for. She complemented her evergreen content with content that met seasonal momentum, planning early for expected surges, such as New Years planning. She also caught surprising spikes, for example when audiences look for Q4 strategy advice in summer. Across her evergreen and timely content, Vivien embraced SEO best practices, like adding clear titles and keyword-rich descriptions to her Pins, to help her content appear more readily when people searched for it.
Vivien also paired her organic activities with paid amplification, promoting her best performing Pins to help them work even harder. This mix helped Vivien reach new audiences on Pinterest who were ready to take action, while strengthening long-term visibility, solidifying Pinterest as the backbone of her digital strategy.
With an all-in strategy, Vivien says Pinterest became her primary platform for making solid content into a business asset—helping her reach people searching for solutions and ideas, and turn that intent into measurable outcomes for her digital-product brand.
Over the past two years, Vivien’s digital-product business brought in more than 3,000 new customers, with over 90% coming through Pinterest, according to her attribution data. Vivien reported that her content reached and continues to reach, a highly qualified, action-oriented audience with nearly 65% of those customers going on to purchase at least one additional product. And while Vivien honed in specifically on business and marketing content, her Pins resonated with people across niches, bringing in clients across a wide range of industries, including coaches, consultants, construction business owners, fashion labels, designers, photographers, lawyers and doctors.
“People do not come to Pinterest to waste time,” Vivien said. “They come to actively plan their future, find inspiration and discover solutions. The smartest business decision is to be present with your own ideas and solutions at exactly that moment.”
