For online retailer Unique Vintage, clothes are more than just clothes. The brand finds inspiration in designs of the past and reimagines them in new ways, making throwback styles that are accessible to people of all sizes. Unique Vintage wanted to help more people find and shop their inventory. And they saw the potential for their catalogue of clothing to be a dream fit for audiences on Pinterest.

The goal

Unique Vintage was seeking a strategy to drive more traffic to their website. They knew that the audience on Pinterest was searching for style inspo not only to admire, but to shop, too. They hoped that by putting their products in front of the right audience, clicks would turn into both traffic and sales.

The strategy

In May 2024, Unique Vintage uploaded their full catalogue to Pinterest as product Pins. This meant that all of their inventory lived on Pinterest alongside details like price, availability info and a link to the product. Plus, to feature their latest items, Unique Vintage began regularly updating their catalogue on the platform.

To help reach audiences as early in their shopping journey as possible, Unique Vintage also leaned into inspirational content. The brand created seasonally optimised Pins—including styling inspo images with relevant keywords—and added product tags. The inspirational content allowed them to reach an even larger audience of those seeking out timely styles, while the product tags made their eye-catching content simpler to shop and highlighted multiple products within the same image. So now, when people on Pinterest saw a look they loved, they could seamlessly go from browsing to buying.

With their new assortment of product Pins and inspirational Pins, Unique Vintage made sure to curate their content. They created new themed boards for upcoming seasons and holidays. Then, the brand optimised all of their boards with descriptions containing keywords from what their audience was searching for to help their content show up in relevant search results.

The result

Bringing their catalogue to Pinterest worked wonders for Unique Vintage. Between May and September 2024, the brand saw a 38% increase in impressions and 16% more traffic compared to the previous five months. They also saw a 126% increase in revenue driven by Pinterest over a 30-day period from August to September.
