Adventure can come from anywhere, if you know where to look. Australian creator Adrian Widjy (@adrianwidjy) documents his finds as he tastes and tests things at home and abroad. Having built his presence around authentic recommendations, people come to Adrian for destination guides, local food and must-have products. And his audience weren’t the only ones who noticed.

As a full-time creator, Adrian is always looking for more ways to monetise his content and boost revenue while staying true to his signature style. He set his sights on scale, using organic content to reach people in the mood to discover and eventually shop. On Pinterest, he aimed to make every piece of content do more, using existing content to drive additional conversions.
Adrian added affiliate links directly into his most visually compelling travel and product Pins—keeping them genuine, informative and in line with his usual style. He not only created content specifically for Pinterest but repurposed high-performing posts from other platforms, as well. This extended the reach of his content and created more opportunities to reach new, engaged audiences.
In September 2025, as these Pins drove stronger results—and revenue for Adrian—a retailer spotted their standout performance. The marketplace got in touch to promote Adrian’s most relevant Pins using Pinterest’s paid partnership tool. They selected eight Pins that showcased products in real-life scenarios, resonated with Adrian’s audience and already had a track record of driving conversions, promoting them to new people at peak discovery moments. This meant that Adrian’s audience got more of what they loved and he earned more by inspiring their next purchase.
The combination of Adrian’s authentic style, existing affiliate links and the brand partner’s promotion helped to drive major impact. Between September and October 2025, Adrian saw nearly 30 times more affiliate earnings, 19 times more clicks and approximately 26 times growth in items ordered from his content. The paid partnership Pins’ performance stayed strong into November as well. The spike in sales helped Adrian unlock additional bonuses including cash and gift cards.
The top-performing Pins came from content that had previously gone viral on other platforms, indicating an opportunity for Adrian to drive even more results by bringing his strongest content to Pinterest moving forwards.
